The Point: And The Winner Is.....

Well everybody after taking about a week long break of not updating this blog thingy, its time to knock off all the cobwebs from the keyboard and time to go back to what I do best and that is pissing people off about what I think. Now if you're someone who doesn't follow the entertainment news (and if you don't, fell very grateful) last night was the Golden Globe Awards, which honors actors and actresses in a variety of categories in the areas of film and television. Last night ended up being a big night for Walk the Line, a biopic of country music legend Johnny Cash (I hope to see this movie soon), and unfortunately Brokeback Mountain, which is about gay cowboys. Personally I think that movie is a piece of trash and don’t expect to see me waiting in line for that. This movie calls itself a western and that is bullcrap!! Cowboys don’t try to get somebody from behind and screw them, maybe the term “western” to the director meant current day San Francisco. An asian directing a western thats like me directing a kung-fu movie filled with lesbians. What happened to the good old days when stars like John Wayne roamed the west in search for the bad guys and saved the day?

Now I wasn’t watching that garbage because I was watching 24 (The greatest show of all time). This award show just joins the group of pointless award shows which to me is just another desperate attempt to grab viewers from the other networks. Seriously, award shows are becoming worse than reality TV it seems that when there is a gap between two award shows they need to create another one. At this rate, they are gonna have an award show for award shows.

But to be fair there are 3 award shows that actually mean something, and those award shows are: The Oscars, The Emmys, and the CMA Awards. You might be wondering what about the Grammys? HAHAHA everybody knows that award show is worthless and it doesn't mean anything if you win it. But there is more than one award show that seriously needs to be thrown out. Here’s a list of shows that need to be scraped:

*The Latin Grammys- If the Grammys are pointless, what makes people think this award show is gonna be any different
*The Golden Globes- Like i said earlier, this just fills in the gap between the Emmys and Oscars
*Music Video Awards (MTV & CMT)- What is the point of these award shows? Seriously i don't understand what the big deal
*Screen Actors Guild Awards- Another pointless award show only for film actors so shouldn’t it be called the Film Actors Guild? I wonder what that abbreviation for that is?
*The Peoples Choice Awards- If this was the peoples choice, then why wasn’t I able to vote?
*The ACM Awards- There’s already one award show for country music and there is no need for another one
*The American Music Awards- more pointless than the Grammys, and doesn’t mean anything
*The ESPY Awards- The only thing sports players want are championships, not pointless awards

Since that junk award show has ended, I’m gonna give out my awards which I’m gonna call “The Point” Awards which are awarded to whoever I feel like and lets take a look at the winners:
Idiotic Group Award: The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights
In an earlier blog I discussed that they had a recent “South Park” episode banned from being reaired ever again all because of the way the Virgin Mary was portrayed. They must believe women don’t get periods which is more stupid than every person in the history of mankind that has seen the Virgin Mary in food that they cook

Irritating Sports Player of the Year Award: Patriots QB Tom Brady
Before the playoffs started, this guy stated that the press disrespects his team saying they weren’t going to the Super Bowl. Listen you douche, just because you win 3 Super Bowl championships in 4 years doesn’t make you a guarantee to win it every time you make the playoffs. Besides after that lackluster performance at Denver I don’t blame the press.

TV Show of the Year: 24!
Do I really need to explain this one?

Craziest Sports Fan Award: Jimmy A.
During the Redskins-Buccaneers game, when Sean Taylor got ejected from the game he took his shirt off threw it against the wall and was yelling explicative words. But what was funny was that his parents were right there to see it, HAHA! He still believes that there was no proof that Sean Taylor spat at RB Michael Pittman when it can be clearly seen on replay. He then did the same thing during the Terps-Duke basketball game. He keeps it up I’m gonna put him in a straitjacket

The Fun Award: DJ
When you’re doing something with DJ, expect the unexpected. There is never a boring moment when DJ is around, he taught our group how to play the exciting game of poolhorse, always has a great attitude, and great taste in music (Enter The Haggis…awesome!!)

The Good Person Award (You can see I’m having problems with these award names): Jimmy S.
Jimmy S. always seems to be there when I need someone to talk to and vice versa and he sees things at another perspective than I do. He’s like Yoda, wise and all knowing without the funny way Yoda talks. If you ever need to talk to someone when you have problems Jimmy S. is the man to talk to.

And the final awards……
The Best Buds Awards: (3-way tie) Jimmy S., DJ, & Jimmy A.
If I had to choose 3 people to be my friends it would have to be these guys, when the 4 of us are doing something like bowling or playing poker or whatever we always have a good time. These guys unlike some people respect me and listen to what I have to say, I couldn’t ask for 3 better people to hang out with because I have already found them.

Ok people you got to see the softer side of me, do not expect a lot of that in future blogs, I’m tired of typing so I’m gonna take a break but expect another blog soon. So until then that’s my point and I’m sticking to it.
